Jordan Brewer got a second chance at baseball six years ago with an organ transplant.

MINNEAPOLIS — A baseball player honored a Minnesota family this weekend on Sunday at the game between the Savannah Bananas and Loco Beach Coconuts. 

Jordan Brewer plays for the Loco Beach Coconuts and suffered a cartilage tear in his knee six years ago. He was able to get a second chance at baseball due to a transplant. 

Benjamin Anderson, a Minnesota man who died, was an organ donor and made that transplant possible. 

The Loco Beach Coconuts and Savannah Bananas played a three-game series over the weekend in their first visit to Target Field in Minneapolis. Brewer got to meet Anderson's family during Sunday's game and thank them out on the field. 

Brewer wore Anderson's old baseball jersey to honor him while playing.
