Little Canada man charged in fatal hit-and-run

A man died early Sunday morning after the hit-and-run occurred.

LITTLE CANADA, Minn. — A man is facing a charge of criminal vehicular homicide after prosecutors say he hit a man with his car on Sunday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call about a person lying on the side of the road near Viking Drive and Lillehei Plaza. Officers found a man dead at the scene, with groceries and some parts from a car scattered across the road.

The victim had an abrasion on the back of his head and drag marks on his knees and belt, according to prosecutors. Officers identified the broken car pieces as belonging to a Nissan Rogue.
