MINNEAPOLIS — Data breaches have become a routine part of modern life, exposing everything from passwords to sensitive financial information. But new privacy laws in Minnesota are giving consumers stronger protections than ever before, according to attorney Chad Florin, who discussed the issue in a recent television interview.
Florin said the frequency of breach notifications has become overwhelming for many consumers, who often don't know where to begin once they receive an alert.
"It's a brave new world we live in," Florin said. "Everything is online. Your information is everywhere."
