Good Thursday morning!

Scattered showers will arrive later this morning, but at least the first part of the morning drive will just see some patchy drizzle.

The heaviest rain today will pass to the south of the Twin Cities. Southeastern parts of the state into Wisconsin may see up to an inch of rain by the time the rain ends early Friday morning.

The Twin Cities metro area will likely see .25” to .50” of rain by early Friday, when the showers taper.

The wind will increase tonight and gust to 35 mph overnight. We can expect windy and chilly weather on Friday.

Skies will clear, but the wind will gust to 40 mph at times and temperatures will struggle to reach 50-degrees.

The first frost and possible freeze of the season are likely in the early morning hours of Saturday.
