A Ramsey County judge has ordered the City of St. Paul to place a proposed Tenant Right to Repair initiative on the November 2026 ballot, ruling the City Council did not have sufficient grounds to keep the measure from voters.
The order came Monday, Aug. 10, following an emergency hearing at the Ramsey County Courthouse.
The lawsuit was filed Aug. 8 by Safe Homes Saint Paul and several petitioners who gathered signatures for the initiative.
