A city council candidate in Jordan faces domestic violence charges after police arrested him following an alleged altercation at his home.
JORDAN, Minn. — A city council candidate in Jordan was arrested and charged with domestic violence on Wednesday.
According to the charging document, 51-year-old Reinaldo Emmanuel Moreno was taken into custody by Jordan police officers on Sept. 12.
Officers were called to a home in Scott County after 3 a.m. for a domestic assault in progress. According to the documents, after officers arrived at the home, Moreno ran down the stairs and stopped near his gun safe before officers tasered him.
Moreno's wife told officers that Moreno had attacked her after she tried to stop him from accessing his gun safe while he was intoxicated.
