WASHINGTON — Several products containing jalapenos, sold at major grocery stores, are being recalled or subject to public health alerts due to salmonella concerns.
Taylor Farms issued a recall alert while the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for various products amid a multistate salmonella outbreak. Over the weekend, Taylor Farms, which was also involved in a separate multistate cyclosporiasis outbreak, issued a downstream recall for some of its products containing jalapenos.
