A south Minneapolis restaurant is asking for help to keep its staff paid after a fire last month forced it to close.
While still closed until further notice, Jakeeno’s Pizza and Pasta, located on Chicago Avenue, has a fundraiser to help replace lost income for workers.
On July 11, the restaurant had a roof fire where firefighters had to open multiple sections of the roof to put it out. While the flames were stopped within an hour, smoke spread through the dining room, kitchen and bar.
