ICE agent charged in Minneapolis shooting booked into Hennepin County Jail

An ICE agent charged in a Minneapolis shooting and held in a Texas jail for months is now booked in Hennepin County Jail ahead of a possible hearing later this week.

According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, ICE agent Christian Castro was arrested on Wednesday by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on state charges.

As previously reported, Castro is accused of shooting at Julio Sosa-Celis through the door of a north Minneapolis home on Jan. 14 in the course of his duties as a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer during Operation Metro Surge.
