Christian Castro, an ICE agent, is facing multiple assault charges after misleading investigators about a shooting incident, according to charging documents.
HENNEPIN COUNTY, Minn. — Christian Castro, the ICE agent accused of lying about what led up to him shooting into a north Minneapolis home, has been booked in the Hennepin County Jail.
Castro, 52, is facing four counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of falsely reporting a crime in connection with the Jan. 14 shooting of Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Castro shot Sosa-Celis through the front door of a home on 24th Avenue North after pursuing another man, Alfredo Aljorna, to the residence.
