Human remains found in Douglas County tied to Mendota Heights missing man, police say

Human remains believed to be those of a missing Mendota Heights man were found Tuesday in Douglas County, Wisconsin.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said they found human remains in a heavily wooded area of the Douglas County Forest near the Town of Summit. Authorities said they believe it is 89-year-old Edward Hanton of Mendota Heights.
