LULING, Texas — Human remains that were found near a crash site in Texas were identified by state officials as a Texas State University student who went missing nearly six years ago.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Wednesday announced that the remains were those of Jason Landry.
The college student was last seen on Dec. 13, 2020, when he was driving home to Missouri City, Texas, after leaving his college apartment in San Marcos. His vehicle was found crashed and abandoned in Luling — about 35 minutes away from San Marcos — the next morning.
