Two Minnesota lawmakers are demanding answers from state officials as questions continue to mount about how a man facing multiple criminal cases ended up at the Minneapolis residential mental health facility where authorities say he carried out a deadly attack.

Sen. Scott Dibble and Rep. Katie Jones recently sent a letter to the Minnesota Department of Human Services seeking information about the placement of Derek Faulkner, 31, at Nancy Page Crisis Residence, the facility where 23-year-old Bryce Hayes was killed and four others were injured Sept. 28.
