ST PAUL, Minn. — Races for U.S. Senate and Minnesota governor get a lot of attention, but who were the primary winners further down the ballot?
For Attorney General, incumbent Keith Ellison handily won the DFL endorsement. On the GOP side, attorney Ron Schutz was the only Republican seeking the job and moves on to face Ellison in the November race.
Secretary of State Steve Simon was the only DFLer on his side of the ticket and will move on as the DFL candidate in November. Two Republicans sought the Secretary of State job, with Tad Jude garnering the majority of votes on Tuesday.
