Mason Moe’s third-period power-play goal pulled Minnesota even, but Michigan Tech scored twice in the final three minutes Sunday to hand the Golden Gophers a 3-1 defeat at John MacInnes Student Ice Arena in Houghton, Michigan.

Moe buried a wrist shot with 11:48 remaining in regulation to tie the game 1-1 after a cross-ice setup from Axel Löfgren. The goal capped a sustained Minnesota power play and gave the Gophers new life after trailing for much of the afternoon.

Michigan Tech regained the lead with 2:46 left when it converted on a power play, scoring off a rebound at the top of the crease. The Huskies then added an empty-net goal with 1:09 remaining to complete the series sweep.
