There was a lot working against Minnesota on Saturday in Toronto.

The Timberwolves were sans Anthony Edwards, who missed his first game of the season after spraining his ankle Friday in Chicago. Timberwolves coach Chris Finch told Wolves radio play-by-play voice Alan Horton that Edwards’ injury is “not as bad as initially feared,” but that doesn’t mean his return is necessarily imminent.

“It’s always about how much swelling and how quickly you can recover from that,” Finch said. “But right now, he’s still in a boot, not really able to test it in any meaningful way, but he’s tough. He’ll want to play. That’s how he’s built.”
