BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — The second day of school took a frightening turn for a 9-year-old Georgia student when a piece of hamburger became lodged in his throat.
Within seconds, his teacher and an assistant principal were at his side.
Jeran Lawrence was eating lunch with his friends at Kingston Elementary in Bartow County, northwest of Atlanta, when his math teacher, Ashley Gibbs, noticed something was wrong.
