Recipe box search took Barb Scharfenberg from the Twin Cities to Parkers Prairie, Minnesota.
PARKERS PRAIRIE, Minn. — Barb Scharfenberg has always enjoyed a good mystery. Then, she accidentally found herself in the middle of one.
“One of my friends always told me I had somewhat dubious sleuthing skills,” Barb says with a laugh.
A few months ago, she was browsing at the Hopkins Antique Mall when she came upon a metal recipe box that caught her eye.
“It's the same box my mom had when I was a little girl,” Barb says.
Her mom’s recipe box, with its cheerful Scandinavian design, was so special to Barb she had already hunted down five others just like it for family members.
