In less than five years, Jeremy Marshik has gone from saving discarded lumber in dumpsters, to helping lead a local reclaim and re-use movement.

MINNEAPOLIS — Weeks before a St. Paul home was scheduled for demolition this spring, Jeremy Marshik got down to business. 

"I've got this room and that room," Marshik said, showing KARE11 piles of wood flooring that he had just pulled up from the interior of the 1940s-era home. "I'm stacking up the white oak to bundle it for easy transport." 

Marshik put in the painstaking work becuase his mission isn't just to save old wood, it's to give it new life.
