Federal prosecutors requested a longer sentence of at least five years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Former Minnesota Sen. Justin Eichorn returns to court Wednesday morning for his sentencing after he pleaded guilty in May to attempted possession of child pornography.
The Republican was initially arrested in a sting operation where a Bloomington Police officer pretended to be a 17-year-old girl. He agreed in court that he asked the undercover officer for topless photos.
He resigned from the Senate shortly after he was arrested.
