Former Irondale star Juriad Hughes Jr. continues to rise after helping Arkansas win NCAA championship

Juriad Hughes Jr. made history at Irondale High School when he broke a decades-old Minnesota state record in the long jump.

Now, the former Knights standout is reaching even greater heights on the national stage.

Hughes recently recorded a personal-best jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, earning a second-place finish and establishing himself as one of the top collegiate long jumpers in the country.

The Arkansas standout returned home to Minnesota this summer before heading back to Fayetteville for his junior season with the Razorbacks.
