A former Hennepin County Detention Deputy was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and a stayed sentence for causing a lockdown at a Maple Grove hospital.
Dillon Field was ordered to commit 16 hours of community service and given a 1-year stayed sentence requiring him to complete a year of probation. The sentence was part of a plea deal he made earlier this year
Earlier this year, police responded to a report of an assault at Maple Grove Hospital on Feb. 5.
Field’s wife was in the bathtub in the bathroom of her delivery room. The woman’s mother said that Field was yelling and became aggressive and that the woman wanted Field to leave. The woman’s mother went to get a nurse and said Field shoved her and tried to lock himself in the bathroom with his wife.
When the nurses came to the room, Field left, according to court documents.
