BELLE PLAINE, Minn. — A fire broke out early Friday morning at a Belle Plaine senior living facility, forcing more than two dozen seniors to evacuate.
Officials reported the fire occurred soon after midnight at Kingsway Senior Living. The residents were evacuated to the nearby Belle Plaine High School.
Kingsway Senior Living houses more than 77 residents. About 25-30 residents were forced to evacuate overnight, but no one suffered serious injuries.
By 6 a.m., fire crews had extinguished the flames.
