Finstad awaiting results of recount in CD1 race that has a thin margin

Rep. Brad Finstad is awaiting the results of a recount in his Congressional District 1 race, but it’s unclear whether he has formally requested one.

His election is one of four state races that fall within the margin for a publicly funded recount. For a federal office election, the difference must be less than 0.25%. However, it does not happen automatically. The losing candidate must request one from the Secretary of State’s office.
