Federal election monitors watching Minnesota polling sites during state primary

Several polling sites in Hennepin and Ramsey counties are being monitored by the Justice Department (DOJ) on Tuesday during the state’s primary election.

According to the DOJ, about 20 people from the Civil Rights Division’s Voting Section and Minnesota’s U.S. Attorney’s Office will check ballot security, transparency and compliance with federal law.
