DENVER — An unexpected radio exchange between two Colorado pilots has drawn attention online after their brief conversation revealed a family connection in the skies.

Kenny Katnik, a captain with CommuteAir, flies out of Dulles International Airport regularly, but on Sept. 1, she had a close encounter of the familial kind while waiting to depart.
