Television's biggest night could be moving away from its usual broadcast home to a streaming platform.
WASHINGTON — The Emmys are in talks to move to streaming, potentially landing a deal with Amazon Prime Video, according to Variety.
The entertainment news outlet reported Tuesday that the Television Academy is in "advanced talks" to move its annual Emmy Awards telecast to Amazon Prime Video. If the licensing talks succeed, it would be the first time the award show was off broadcast TV since its start in 1949.
