Heavy rain and thunderstorms are actively moving across parts of the area tonight, with pockets of very heavy rainfall producing quick downpours. This activity will gradually weaken and become more scattered overnight, with most of the rain winding down toward Thursday morning.
Thursday brings a much-needed break. Clouds will gradually give way to some sunshine, with pleasant highs in the upper 70s.
Then comes our next bigger weather maker.
Friday is looking wet, with widespread rain likely across much of Minnesota. Some of that rain could be heavy at times, making Friday the main weather impact to watch through the rest of the week. Temperatures will also be noticeably cooler, with highs only in the low 60s.
Showers gradually end Saturday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 60s.
