Danielle Parton, who is also a pilot, said she thinks her aunt, Dolly, would be honored to know that the Music City plans to name its airport after her.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Dolly Parton's niece said seeing her aunt's name become part of Nashville International Airport would carry a personal meaning for her as both a member of the Parton family and a pilot.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority voted unanimously to begin the process of renaming the airport in Dolly Parton's honor. A final name has not been chosen yet.
