Dr. Mohiba Tareen warns that summer sunburn can lead to skin changes, such as brown spots and dryness this fall, and advises visiting a dermatologist.

Did you get sunburnt this summer? The effects might show up this fall.

Dr. Mohiba Tareen, with Tareen Dermatology, visited KARE 11 Saturday to share what people should look out for.

Sun exposure can lead to brown spots, dryness and skin cancer. Tareen advised that people visit a dermatologist if they have a sun damage spot that is rapidly changing in color or condition.

Topical retinoids can be a helpful tool for people who are looking to reduce the appearance of age spots or sun-damaged spots. Tareen advised that people should use it every day if they have oily skin and every other day if they have dry skin.
