Delaware North makes final offer to Target Field concessions union, raises pay to $20 an hour

Delaware North, the global hospitality company that runs concessions at Target Field, says it created a final offer to the union that would raise employee wages to $20 an hour, with a $2.50 per-hour increase over three years for non-tipped workers.

Nearly 500 Target Field union members, including bartenders, dishwashers, waiters and attendants, will now have to vote on the offer.

The new compensation also includes leave of absence options, adding the Juneteenth holiday, and a revised break schedule with a meal voucher. The union has said it is fighting for fair pay, affordable healthcare and job protections.

UNITE HERE Local 17, which is the union for Target Field concession workers, and Delaware North had been at odds over a contract for months. Employees went on strike on June 22, when the LA Dodgers played the Twins, and again on Aug. 5, which was the night of the sold-out Noah Kahan concert.
