Video captured on a dash camera shows a truck striking an overpass in New York state.
NEW YORK STATE, USA — Dashcam video captured the moment a semitrailer struck an overpass on a New York highway.
The incident happened Monday afternoon on Interstate 87 in Rockland County, New York.
The video shows the semitruck traveling on the highway as it approached the overpass. The truck then strikes the overpass, shearing the top of the trailer. The truck then tipped over and skidded on its side.
New York State Police say the truck struck a Toyota parked on the right shoulder.
Serious injuries were not reported.
The truck driver was ticketed for having a vehicle exceeding the maximum height of 13 feet and 6 inches.
