NEW YORK — New York Governor Kathy Hochul on Wednesday announced that Cornell University agreed to an independent investigation into the school's response to a 2024 rape allegation in which a woman says she was sexually assaulted by seven students after being plied with alcohol and drugs.
In a minute-long video posted on social media, Hochul said she spoke with university president Michael Kotlikoff, who agreed to the independent investigation.
