Cool temps for the last official day of Summer 2026

Summer 2026 is coming to an official end and it has been Hot and Dry which may cause our Fall Colors to Peak a few days earlier ahead of the average Peak dates of Fall Color from October 10 to October 15. Fall Colors will be peaking in northeast Minnesota around the Ely, BWCA, Lutsen areas this upcoming weekend ( September 25-27 ) and then much of northern Minnesota including Bemidji, Hibbing, Duluth areas the following weekend ( October 2-4 ).

Mainly Cloudy with Light Rain Sprinkles possible in the Twin Cities now until 4 p.m. then some Peeks of Sun after 5 p.m. with highs near 60 degrees and Winds from the East-Northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Clear Tonight with Patchy Fog in River Valleys and lows in the mid 40s with Light Winds.
