Flock cameras, which read vehicle license plates, have been the center of a national debate over policing and surveillance.
DAYTON, Minnesota — Flock reportedly put some cameras back up in a Minnesota city that had taken them down.
The City of Dayton made a community post addressing the situation, saying they were made aware on Sept. 17 that Flock had produced a maintenance work order. On Sept. 18, city officials told Flock that its program was on hold and no work orders should be completed. The council voted unanimously at its Aug. 25 meeting to pause the program and remove the cameras.
