Ebro Ahmed halted a runaway school bus in St. Paul after the driver experienced a medical emergency.

ST PAUL, Minn. — A 27-year-old jumped onto and stopped a runaway school bus this week after the driver experienced a medical emergency with kids on board.

It happened Monday in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul near Ya Bricks Snacks and Tobacco, where Ebro Ahmed was working.

Ahmed told KARE 11 he saw the bus moving down the street with its door open, and he could see the driver was incapacitated. He said at first he didn't think what he was seeing was real.

"I kind of hesitated for a little bit, but I just, this was too crazy not to be real. I just jumped on there, did what I had to do," Ahmed said.
