MINNEAPOLIS — The 20th Annual A Breath of Hope's Lung Cancer Walk & Run is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis.
A Breath of Hope began when a group of lung cancer patients and their nurse were in search of hope. At the time, the lung cancer survival rate was as low as 6%. Today, after years of raising funds and awareness, the 5-year survival rate is 33%.
The organization is working in Minnesota and the nation to improve early detection and drive new treatments through innovative translational research.
The foundation also funds comprehensive support services for patients, caregivers, families and survivors at all stages of their cancer journey.
