Brainerd celebrates 100 days until Hockey Day Minnesota

The countdown is officially on for Hockey Day Minnesota 2027.

Organizers in Brainerd marked the 100-day milestone this week as preparations continue for the statewide celebration of hockey, which will take over Brainerd International Raceway from Jan. 26-30. It culminates with Hockey Day Minnesota 2027 on Saturday, Jan. 30.

For the first time, Saturday’s full Hockey Day schedule of games will air live on 45TV – culminating with the Minnesota Wild hosting the Dallas Stars at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.

Thursday’s event in Brainerd served as a reminder that while January still feels far away, there’s plenty of work left before an outdoor hockey venue rises at Minnesota’s best-known racetrack.
