The song 'Pam's Cafe' tells the story of a cafe at which Johnny Holm often ate as he traveled to and from gigs

GLENWOOD, Minn. — The pit in front of the stage at a rowdy concert is no place for a man born in the 1940s.

But Johnny Holm is at home.

With one hand on the top rail of temporary fencing, the 76-year-old raises his other hand above a crowd of thousands.

“Let's go!” he shouts into his microphone.

Partiers in their teens and early 20s gleefully squeal as Johnny and his band pump out songs from Journey, Toby Keith, and Justin Bieber.

“He’s amazing!” shouts one young woman.
