Banana Ball to hold first championship game at MLB’s Nationals Park

WASHINGTON — Banana Ball is getting its first championship game this fall, with all six teams set to compete at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

The Banana Ball Championship League will hold the inaugural Banana Bowl on Oct. 10, bringing together the Savannah Bananas and five other teams: the Loco Beach Coconuts, Firefighters, Indianapolis Clowns, Party Animals and Texas Tailgaters.

Banana Ball has become a national sports and entertainment phenomenon by putting its own spin on traditional baseball, incorporating choreographed dances, acrobatics, fan participation and unusual rules into games....
