Economists say its harder to trust consumer sentiment as a gauge for consumer behavior, but a survey director says we can't ignore how poorly so many feel.
Pull up to any gas station in the Twin Cities - or anywhere in the US - and you're bound to get pumped full of bad vibes.
"It's rough out there," said Jesse Lingenfelter. "Everything is more expensive. Gas is just outrageous."
"It's not fit for normal people," said Hope Addison Allen, who was filling up her car in the few minutes she had between working two jobs. "The cost of living just keeps going up."
