A new batch of polling this week suggests Republican candidates are gaining ground in statewide races right as early voting gets underway in Minnesota.

In the governor’s race, Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s lead over Republican House Speaker Lisa Demuth has shrunk to 7 percentage points, and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Michele Tafoya are now in a dead heat for U.S. Senate.
