Animal Humane Society rescues 36 dogs from unlicensed breeder in Cass County

The Animal Humane Society says it has rescued 36 dogs in Cass County from an unlicensed breeder.

The dogs, according to the Animal Humane Society (AHS), included golden retrievers, golden doodles and breed mixes from unsanitary and unsafe conditions.

AHS said some dogs were raised in outdoor pens, but most were free-roaming, resulting in matted fur, parasites, and under-socialization. The organization also suspects some dogs may be pregnant.
