Angie Craig and Peggy Flanagan lead DFL candidates in US Senate primary

The DFL candidate for U.S. Senate will be chosen by voters on Tuesday from a pool of six candidates, although it’s widely considered a two-woman race.

This is the race to replace Sen. Tina Smith, who is not seeking reelection.

The frontrunners in the DFL primary are Angie Craig and Peggy Flanagan, both of whom have long histories of working in politics. The winner is expected to face Michele Tafoya in the November general election.
