Amazon raises Kindle, Fire TV and Echo prices as much as 60%

SEATTLE — Amazon has raised prices across several of its device lines, with some increases reaching as much as 60%.

The price increases hit Kindle e-readers, Fire TV streamers, Echo speakers and eero mesh routers.

The changes quietly appeared on Amazon's website without an announcement. The company later confirmed the increases, citing what it called significant increases in memory and storage component costs. In a statement, Amazon said it had absorbed those costs "for as long as we could" before adjusting prices across its product lines, according to CNET.
