Good Wednesday evening!
We’re heading into a noticeable change in the weather over the next couple of days, but the payoff comes just in time for the weekend.
Tonight stays mostly cloudy and seasonably mild, with lows falling into the upper 40s.
Rain becomes likely Thursday, especially south of a line from Willmar to St. Cloud to Hinckley. That includes the Twin Cities, where a cool and damp day is expected with highs only in the low 50s.
A few showers may linger into early Friday before skies gradually begin to clear. Even with some afternoon improvement, Friday will stay chilly and windy, with highs only near 50 degrees. Friday night could be especially crisp, with lows falling into the mid-30s.
Then the pattern flips.
Saturday looks mostly sunny and seasonable, with highs returning to the low 60s. Sunday looks even better, with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s.
That warming trend...
