9 Republicans on US Senate primary ballot but 1 clear frontrunner

Minnesota Republican voters will have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to their party’s Senate candidates.

Nine Republican candidates will be on the ballot Tuesday, all hoping to be the GOP nominee in November to compete to replace Senator Tina Smith, a Democrat who isn’t seeking reelection.

While the Republican field is crowded, there are a couple of tiers in terms of who has a favorable chance of winning, with one clear frontrunner (Tafoya).
