34 cars damaged across Minneapolis in Thursday break-in spree

Minneapolis police are investigating after a man damaged 34 vehicles across the city on Thursday.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded around 2 a.m. to the 700 block of First Street North, when a man in a white sedan was using a flashlight to break into vehicles.

During the search, officers found multiple broken-into vehicles, along with other damaged vehicles in the area. Police said they could not locate the man or his vehicle.

Minneapolis police released the locations and the number of vehicles damaged on Thursday:

  • 700 block of First Street North – 10 vehicles
  • 600 block of Fifth Street North – 7 vehicles
  • 900 block of Fourth Street North – 5 vehicles
  • Near Marquette Avenue and 10th Street South – 7 vehicles
