Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in an apparent shooting that Minneapolis police are investigating.
The incident was first reported around 2:57 p.m. as a “suspicious vehicle” call to police in the 3900 block of Stevens Avenue South. Later, as police investigated, it was determined to have been part of a shooting that had taken place.
Officers were later called to an area near East 38th Street and First Avenue South after the Minneapolis Fire Department was flagged down for an injured man. According to police, the man had sustained at least one life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital.
A second injured man later arrived at the hospital for gunshot injuries, believed to be involved in the same incident as the first man. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Officers believe they have located where the shooting took place in the 3900 block of Stevens Avenue South.
