18-year-old injured after shooting near Stone Arch Bridge

Police believe the man was outside near the intersection of 6th Avenue Southeast and 2nd Street East when he heard gunfire and was struck.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left an 18-year-old injured. 

At approximately 2:31 a.m. on Sunday, authorities say officers responded to reports of shootings in the 500 block of Main Street Southeast and near 6th Avenue Southeast and 2nd Street East. 

Officials note that law enforcement found evidence of gunfire near the latter location and determined that the two reports stemmed from the same incident. 

Shortly after, authorities say an 18-year-old man sought medical attention at Hennepin Healthcare after sustaining non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
